These summer days....

Blue skies and bottles of Corona nestled in ice filled wheel barrows. Flutes filled with ice cold Champagne and fans dance back and forth in hands. Sunglasses adorn faces and ceremonies freely take place outside. We have become accustomed to these sites and scenes over the last couple of months and we just don’t want it to end. These summer days and have truly been the best. I can’t remember the last time we had week after week after week of wall to wall sunshine or a time when I woke up again and again to the sun streaming through our blinds.

These summer days have warmed and lifted and helped us make such happy memories. And on one of these summer days was Sophie and Robbie’s incredibly beautiful wedding. They hired Moreton House in Dorset for the weekend, a beautiful country house next to the Moreton tea rooms and used DP Marquees to set up a very beautiful space for the reception in the grounds. It was designed and decorated with impeccable taste and very much in keeping with a style I love - soft greys and lots of greenery with low hanging lighting from it.

And Sophie, a very naturally beautiful bride wore an adapted Pronovias gown through the day and a Sassi Holford gown by night. In both dresses, she looked utterly divine. She complimented each dress with a different pair of Jimmy Choos...isn’t that the dream?!! And through the sweltering heat, Robbie and the boys wore morning suits and looked very handsome for it!

As the sun went down, Chromatics (we highly recommend these guys for a bit of a difference) set the tone and everyone danced the night away with small breaks to gobble up the absolutely delicious pizza made by Truly Scrumptious in the little cart.

The sunshine manages to put gold all over a day and Robbie and Sophie’s was just that. It was gold.

What a very beautiful, happy day. What a privilege to capture it all. Sophie and Robbie, we wish you every little bit of happiness together.
