Peacocks and piglets
Outside weddings are usually saved for California or other beautiful, weather reliable places. But not today. Today, Abi and Richard got married outside, in the very beautiful, picturesque gardens of South Farm, Royston. This venue is organic and secluded yet there is absolutely nothing pretentious about it. It is so well kept and boasts gardens that are so enchanting, so interesting and have lots of secret paths and places to explore, sit, walk and stay, and there is even a nature reserve! It's Romany gypsy caravans are available for guests to stay in and the little piglets and chickens keep the children... and adults entertained! You would think that some places would be out of bounds to protect it, but there policy is to be totally open. The venue and those who run it are welcoming and warm and everything there is all natural in that they grow all their own produce for the meals eaten on site. They strive for excellence - it's no wonder they were ranked in the UK's top ten wedding venues by Brides magazine!
I can totally see why Richard and Abi picked the venue. It is relaxed, like them! They are so down to earth and so lovely. As soon as we met them we loved them. They are warm and put anyone at ease.
And Abi sparkled today. I loved the detail and neckline of her dress and the colour of the bridesmaids were just beautiful: kind, soft and summery colours.
We loved this day, firstly because of Richard and Abi, and secondly because the venue was so lovely and so different from any other. We count our selves privileged to meet people like them and to work in venues as glorious as this one.
